Website terms of use
Terms governing access to official information
These terms apply to use of the Association’s public website, online publications, registers and related information services.
Use of information
Primary records and stated limitations govern
Website information is provided for general institutional, professional and verification purposes. It does not constitute medical, legal, regulatory, investment or other professional advice and should not be used as a substitute for advice appropriate to the circumstances.
Certification and licence information must be read with the applicable scope, status, validity and scheme. A Public Register record takes precedence over a logo, extract, search-engine result or third-party representation.
Permitted conduct
Access must be lawful and must preserve service integrity
- Do not misrepresent Association information, identity, certification, membership or professional status.
- Do not interfere with service availability, security controls, rate limits, access controls or the integrity of records.
- Do not collect personal data, restricted information or register content through unlawful or disproportionate means.
- Do not use Association content or identity to imply sponsorship, endorsement or affiliation without written authorisation.
- Automated access must comply with published technical directives, reasonable request rates and applicable law.
Intellectual property
Names, marks and controlled documents are protected
The Association’s name, emblem, certification marks, programme names, standards and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property and contractual rights. No licence is granted except for ordinary access and use of public information for its stated purpose.
Certificate holders, members, partners and licensees may use authorised identity assets only under the specific written terms applying to that use. The Association may require correction or cessation of unauthorised or misleading use.
Availability and changes
Services and terms may be maintained
The Association may maintain, secure, correct or change website services and content. Reasonable care is taken over official information, but uninterrupted availability and freedom from every error cannot be guaranteed.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Mandatory rights and jurisdictional rules continue to apply where they cannot lawfully be excluded.
