Recognition criteria
Approval is attached to the assessed programme
- Learning outcomes are explicit, appropriate and aligned with the intended participants and level.
- Content is current, evidence-informed, balanced and subject to competent technical oversight.
- Learning methods and assessment are suitable for the stated outcomes and mode of delivery.
- Faculty and contributors are selected for relevant competence and declare material interests.
- Promotion, attendance, completion and award records are accurate and controlled.
- Evaluation, complaints, changes and periodic review are incorporated into provider governance.
Use of recognition
Education approval is represented precisely
Recognition applies to the named programme, provider, version, delivery mode and approval period. It does not automatically extend to other courses, sites, partners, faculty or awards.
Completion of an approved activity does not by itself confer Association membership, professional registration, certification or a legal entitlement to practise unless expressly stated by the applicable route.
