Licence conditions

The right to use a mark remains conditional

  • Use is limited to the certified subject, approved artwork, authorised claim and markets stated in the licence.
  • Packaging and principal promotional executions are reviewed before first use and following material change.
  • The licensee must maintain conformity, records, testing and notification obligations throughout the licence period.
  • Licence status is connected to a verifiable Public Register record where the programme requires publication.
  • Suspended, withdrawn, expired or otherwise invalid status requires use to cease in accordance with the applicable rules.

Proper interpretation

A mark communicates a defined result, not a universal judgement

The mark indicates conformity with the identified WNA programme requirements for the stated product or scope. It does not mean that the Association recommends a product for every person, guarantees a health outcome or replaces a varied diet, professional advice, legal compliance or regulatory authorisation.

Artwork displayed without a current, matching Public Register record must not be relied upon as proof of valid certification or licence.
